Jayhawk Kansas Cheerleading

Why KU?

The Cheerleading!

2008 UCA Nationals routine And last but not least, come to KU for the cheerleading! KU has an excellent cheerleading tradition with wins at NCA Nationals in 1990 and 1995.

We now compete in the toughest division in the country: UCA Division 1A Large Coed, where in 2006 we placed 21st (ouch), 13th in 2007, and 9th in 2008. We've also competed 3 couples at UCA Partner Stunt competition in the last 2 years.

Our 2008-2009 goals will be to 1) win our region to get a full paid bid to nationals, and 2) place in the top 7 at nationals. Our skill level is really turning the corner now, and the future looks awesome. Now is a great time to join us!

To sum it all up, you can't go wrong choosing KU. We've got big-time athletics, strong academics, a fun city, and competitive UCA cheerleading. So when you're making your college choice, remember to consider the big picture — think about the lifelong value of a great education and the unforgettable memories of cheering on college sports' biggest stage!
