Jayhawk Kansas Cheerleading

KU Cheer Blog

The KU Cheer Blog is where you can read what it's like to cheer at KU straight from the source -- KU cheerleaders! I'll also post a cell-photo whenever we're doing something fun or interesting so you can be the first to see it here.

Here we are in Lincoln throwing a basket toss in front of some huge sculpture of a crumpled up notebook. Odd.

For some reason I couldn't post pictures from my phone for awhile, so the Nebraska photos are a bit late. This is us having some fun in Lincoln before the game (which we lost in overtime -- d'oh!).

Jaclyn and Kevin leading the big "Go!...Jayhawks!" chant before the Sept. 23 South Florida game while I'm in the back doing some taping for our Game/Crowd video for UCA competition.

Here we are cheering with the kids on Spirit Day during the game against South Florida. Between the goalposts is John and Jaclyn in a 2-1-1 (aka Tower) pyramid.

In addition to the game and Spirit Day, this was also the first weekend that our nationals choreographer (Leighton Clarke) was in town. Leighton has a great routine for us and we made a lot of progress.

Here we are teaching the Rock Chalk Chant to Spirit Day participants before the KU vs. South Florida game.
